- About Me:
- I love to do handicrafts, to decorate rooms, to experiment with different materials and to create new objects out of old furniture or related things you find on the street. Furthermore, I do love making pictures. I have not studied art or something related, but since 1998 I gather work experience from e.g. theatres by doing props, stage design, etc. Besides that I used to work as a stage manager and event manager in different areas (theatre, musical, charity events) in Berlin, Copenhagen , Bremen and Cologne, and I realized how much I like the combination of doing “organized art”, of swapping the focus between management and creation to achieve a new product.
I do not have a special camera, just a simple digital one, but for me it’s great going for a walk and finding new structures, colours, challenges. I’d like to focus more on creativity, to advance and to keep on combining materials, ideas, design and management. For me, Barcelona is a perfect place to start with.

Dear members and friends,
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
We would like to thank you all for the support and goodwill you showed us during 2008. It certainly was an excellent year which saw the association more than double in size.
The most remarkable and rewarding thing for us at GAP this year was the realization that "there is a clear and evident need for an International project such as GAP in Barcelona".
Now, we wish to carry this momentum into 2009 and really establish ourselves as a group of people and artists interested in CONTRIBUTING to society. People who want to INTEGRATE and people who want to feel part of something.
Gracia Arts Project is a PLATFORM for YOUR artistic ideas. You need only a plan and the time to achieve it.
Our plans for this year are massive and ambitious. The top 3 from 10 are..
1. We want to double the size of membership in 2009. Currently we have 120 members and hope to have 200+ by end of year.
2. We want to seek subsidies and funding from local and national governments. We will continue to seek sponsorship and partnerships within the commercial sector.
3. The first quarter 2009 sees the establishment of "El Rusc de Gracia". This project is a professional architectural blueprint of a rectangular shaped building that will provide spaces for a wide variety of artists and an academy for students.

The point is WE NEED VOLUNTEERS. We have developed a small team of 14 people who have each committed to small individual responsibilities. WE NEED 30 PEOPLE in total to help make this Project an amazing, worthwhile and rewarding organisation.
